Dembele: Spurs players want Sherwood to stay

Mousa Dembele says Tottenham's players want Tim Sherwood to remain manager long-term.

Tottenham seem to be actively looking for a replacement for next season, and are thought to have held talks with Holland coach Louis van Gaal, as well as sounding out Italy coach Cesare Prandelli.

"I think we've played better as a team and we're all good in training," Dembele said. "We've adjusted a few things that didn't work for us, so we're happy with this.

"Would I like him to stay long-term? That's not for me to decide, but how it looks now I think the team has confidence, we're playing much better and of course everybody's happy. After that the club has to decide, but as a team I think right now we're very happy."
