Tottenham midfielder Mousa Dembele admits the players are still adjusting to manager Mauricio Pochettino's methods.
Tottenham visit Manchester City after the international break, currently sixth in the Premier League, the position they finished in under Tim Sherwood last season.
"Sometimes we still need to find our way but there are games when we have played very well such as Sunderland away and at Arsenal, as well as a few games more but we can still do better than this," Dembele told the London Evening Standard.
"It's always something new when a new manager is in but we are in a good way and we are confident.
"The manager has spoken with everyone individually since he came here about aspects of our game.
"We want to finish as high as possible, so that is the top four, of course."
