Mousa Dembele says Tottenham will miss Jermain Defoe.

The club confirmed the 31-year-old would leave to play for Toronto FC at the end of February.

The 26-year-old said: "For us he's very important. I think everyone knows his quality and of course we will miss him, for sure."

Defoe struck in victory over Crystal Palace.

Dembele added that, "It was nice for him to score, though. We are happy for him."
