That's the view of teammate Moussa Dembele, whose Belgium face the Scots on Tuesday.
Welsh ace Bale delivered a damaging double blow to Scotland’s World Cup hopes with his two late goals to seal victory in Cardiff on Friday night.
That result left Scotland boss Craig Levein’s job hanging by a thread.
Now Bale’s club-mate Dembele plans to push him even closer to the brink on Tuesday.
Dembele, 25, said: “I was very happy for Gareth.
“He told me before we left to join up with our national teams that Wales are better than Scotland and that they would win.
“Both are good teams and are evenly matched so I am not surprised that Wales won.”
