Demba Ba: I'm better player for Chelsea move

Chelsea striker Demba Ba says he's improved since leaving Newcastle United.

Playing for a club who are more accustomed to challenging for trophies has also provided an added challenge for the former West Ham forward.

"Here you play to win," he told the London Evening Standard. "I'm not saying you don't play to win in Newcastle but the wins are much more important here. There you have the right sometimes to lose. If you lose occasionally it's not a big deal but here you have to win every game. This is a big difference.

"You see in the changing room after we have lost, people are not happy and we know we always definitely have to win the next game.

"I know what I'm capable of and I still have a lot to learn and to show. Arriving in January is always a bit different because you have to come in and do well from the start, that's what I'm trying to do."
