Barnsley star Adam Hammill insists he is in no rush to make the move into the top flight. The 22-year-old is reportedly being chased by a host of top-flight clubs after catching the eye at Oakwell this season.
Barnsley are now bracing themselves for bids for the former Liverpool youngster in the January transfer window.
The player himself admits it is his ambition to play in the Premier League, but he is happy to be patient as he continues to learn his trade.
"I just take each game as it comes," said Hammill.
"I'm enjoying my football and looking forward to the next match. The main aim is to play well and score goals.
"To play in the Premier League is an ambition I've always had. For every young lad to reach the highest level is the ambition.
"But there's no rushing - it has to be the right time. I'm learning my trade at Barnsley. Whatever happens, I'm enjoying myself here."
