Delph tipped to reach top form with Villa

Aston Villa manager Alex McLeish is confident that young midfielder Fabian Delph can be as good as he wants to be.

The 21-year old, who missed the weekend's loss to West Bromwich Albion with a virus, has returned from a serious knee injury to become a regular in the Villa line-up this season and McLeish is expecting him to kick on.

"We have pushed Fabian back into the limelight after being out for a long time injury-wise and he has played nine games in a row and he should be proud of that," he told the club's official website.

"There is so much to come from him too. I know he is a guy who cares and studies his game, looks over it again with the IT guy.

"He is someone who wants to be as good as he can be."
