Aston Villa midfielder Fabian Delph says they need to get back to basics after defeat to Tottenham.
But Delph feels the claret and blues can be pleased with their work ethic in the 2-0 loss to Andre Villas-Boas' team.
"I thought we worked hard - 100 per cent as usual - but maybe there were little mistakes," he told Villa's website.
"We will go back to the drawing board and look at what we've done wrong and we'll come back next week hopefully a bit stronger.
"I think we were pushing to get something out of the game.
"But they saw the game out. Credit to them, they are a good team and they could be up there by the end of the season. But we fought and we gave 100 per cent.
"I think personally I got into a few positions where I should have done better with some of the through balls.
"It is something I am disappointed about but hopefully I'll correct it in the next game."
