Delfouneso happy working with Villa pal Carew

Nathan Delfouneso says he's enjoying working with senior Aston Villa striker John Carew.

The 17 year-old told Villa's website: "Just training with the senior players at this club is helping me develop as a player. Working with somebody like John Carew is really good.

"He's played all over Europe, in all the top countries. He's played and scored in the Champions League, UEFA Cup, the whole lot.

"So I can gain experience from his experience. Just by watching him train and play is an education for me.

"I've still got a lot to do but I expect to do a lot. Hopefully I can do what I've set out to do - keep developing and show I can force my way into the first-team."

England youth international Delfouneso continued: "I scored with my first touch in senior football when we beat FC Wil recently. That was an amazing feeling and now I just hope to build on it from there."
