Rory Delap hopes Stoke City can sign permanently on-loan Real Zaragoza winger Jermaine Pennant.
Potters boss Tony Pulis has revealed talks have opened over a deal for Pennant.
Delap told The Sentinel: "Of course I'd love to see him stay, but not just from a selfish point of view. He's been terrific since he came to the club because he gives us a different dimension.
"He gives us that added bit of pace and attacking flair that we've missed on the right.
"It gives us good balance and hopefully things can be sorted with him."
