Stoke City hero Rory Delap is delighted for Lee Grant over last season's success.

The goalkeeper finished the season as Stoke's Player of the Year.

Delap told The Sentinel: "I know Granty really well from years ago and I enjoy keeping up with him and his family.

"He kicked off last season in Derby's reserves, but got the chance to go to Stoke for his first taste of the Premier League and played so well.

“He's deserved all the plaudits he gets. He won the player of the year trophy and it's a massive credit to him."
