Juventus coach Claudio Ranieri has held showdown talks with skipper Alessandro del Piero. Tuttosport says Ranieri and Del Piero had a clear-the-air meeting earlier this week ahead of the coach addressing the players.

Ranieri accepted he must be more open with his players and agreed to increase his communication with the senior leadership group. For his part, Del Piero assured Ranieri that the dressing room was as committed as ever behind him.

"We must all row together," was the message delivered by the captain, "so we can reach the same port."

After clearing the air with Del Piero, Ranieri will now schedule a players' meeting where he message will be same. A Sunday summit after the Napoli game is expected to be organised.
