Juventus coach Gigi del Neri insists he was happy with their victory over Shamrock Rovers last night. Juve saw off their Europa League opponents 1-0 to win the tie 3-0 on aggregate.
Alessadro del Piero netted the winner and Del Neri remarked afterwards: "I am pleased with how my team played.
"The weather conditions did not favour us, but I saw a lively squad.
"We conceded little to our opponents, but there are things we can still improve upon. We need to be more focused, and get better at our physical conditioning.
"Del Piero? He scored a great goal, but it was the whole team that did well.
"There is no rift between Diego and Del Piero, as they will both be used during a long season. I am convinced that when they are called upon, they will do well.
"I decided to bring on Del Piero in the second half because I saw Diego getting tired on such a heavy pitch. I would have otherwise kept him on."
