Sampdoria coach Gigi del Neri was delighted with matchwinner Antonio Cassano after victory over Juventus. It was Cassano's first game since a training ground bust-up with Del Neri earlier this year and he popped up with the only goal of the game.
"The team put in a performance of the highest level, keeping concentrated against an important opponent," said Del Neri.
"Cassano had a great game and it was above all a performance worthy of him.
"He fought hard, earned free kicks and proved the difference that he can make. He wants to make his mark and that is what I expect of him.
"This is the Cassano I wanted to see."
