Spain are on a collision course with Arsenal.
Boss Vicente Del Bosque wants Cesc Fabregas to play against Italy in a friendly in Bari on August 10.
Del Bosque has phoned Gunners manager Arsene Wenger to get his permission, as Fabregas has yet to play for Arsenal in pre-season because of a hamstring injury and the Barca transfer saga.
