Former Arsenal vice-chairman David Dein says the board must shell out for Zenit St Petersburg attacker Andrei Arshavin to save their season. The Gunners are thrashing out a deal for the Zenit St Petersburg forward but the Russians are holding out for £15million.
Former vice-chairman Dein fears for boss Arsene Wenger.
He said: "Arsene is the one who can turn water into wine... but he needs a bit of help.
"The team has been punching above its weight.
"They desperately need a little bit of extra creativity but are going to have to pay up for him."
