Manchester United could make a late January move for Standard Liege midfielder Steven Defour.

It was confirmed this week that United boss Sir Alex Ferguson had penned a 'get well soon' letter to Defour over his metatarsal injury.

Defour, who is rated as one of the most promising players in Belgium, is targeting the match against Anderlecht on January 16 for his comeback date.
