Jermain Defoe admits he's been surprised by the quality at Portsmouth.
"I always thought the team was quality, but obviously when you play for a different team you don't watch the players week in, week out. It's not until you join and actually train with the players and play that you realise how good they are.
"If you just look at the quality of our players it's not surprising we're challenging for Europe, to be honest. The club's done well bringing the players in and at the minute we are flying. The confidence is great, we've got good team spirit and we are just looking forward to the next game."
