Tottenham can upset AC Milan with pace and Premier League intensity, says Jermain Defoe.
Harry Redknapp's men are the underdogs going into their Champions League last-16 clash against the current Serie A leaders.
Ahead of Tuesday's trip to the San Siro, England hitman Defoe, 28, said: "If you look at the Champions League and European football it's similar to football at international level.
"It's a bit slower and the teams like to pass and have more time on the ball. Look at Serie A and again it's slower compared to the Premier League.
"So, if we approach these games against Milan with Premier League intensity, we will create a lot of chances - and we can win those games."
