England manager Fabio Capello has heaped praise on striker Jermain Defoe after he saved his nation by scoring two second-half goals against Holland overnight.
The Tottenham star netted in the 49th and 77th minutes to cancel out Holland's two first-half goals, prompting praise from the Italian tactician.
"I think he's one of the best forwards, English forwards.," Capello said post-match.
"He's very fast, technically he's good and he's always in front of the goal."
Capello also applauded the efforts of young guns James Milner and Carlton Cole.
"I was happy with Milner, he played very well. It wasn't easy. I'm happy for him. I'm also happy for Carlton Cole," he added.
"I saw him play for West Ham against Napoli and chose him to stay in the squad. They're young players, the future.
