Jermain Defoe insists Portsmouth have nothing to fear from Europe this season.
"We've got a good squad, a strong squad with lots of experience, lots of the players have played in Europe before. So I think we will do well.
"Last year was a good season for us, winning the FA Cup.
"This season we just want to push more in the league and we are capable of doing that.
"Can we get into the Champions League? Why not - but we don't want to talk about it too much.
"We'll just see how we start. With the players we've got and with the players we'll bring in I can't see why not. But we'll see how the start goes."
