Jermain Defoe insists he's prepared to battle for his place at Tottenham.
He is already looking forward to next season and relishing the challenge of the Europa League - as well as trying to regain a spot amongst the continent's elite.
JD is happy with the way the campaign went overall, and told the Spurs website: "I was always confident we would win the [Birmingham] game, and in the end we did with two fantastic goals by Pav.
"If you don't finish fourth you've got to finish fifth. I think we're good enough to finish fourth but overall it's been a good season.
"Next season we want to try and get back in the Champions League and we have to try to win the Europa League. I'm looking forward to it already.
"The season's finished, we can put it behind us, we finished fifth, a lot of good work from the boys, and hopefully next season will be a good one for everyone involved."
