Defoe to headline big-name Tottenham clearout
Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp is planning to sell to fund his summer transfer plans.
The Mirror says Jermain Defoe could be the big-name casualty as Redknapp looks to offload some of his strikers to bring in Pablo Osvaldo from Espanyol which could also mean Roman Pavlyuchenko is sold.
Newcastle fancy Peter Crouch but his statistics are still impressive while Alan Hutton could also go with Kyle Walker tipped to return from his loan spell at Aston Villa to become the club's new first choice right back.
Niko Kranjcar, Sebastien Bassong and Heurelho Gomes could also go this summer as Redknapp looks to overhaul his squad while stressing prize assets Modric, Rafael van der Vaart and Gareth Bale are not for sale.
