Tottenham striker Jermain Defoe is determined to fire the club to another top four finish.
Defoe is struggling to find the back of the net this season.
But he told the Mirror: "People are entitled to have their opinions but as players we have standards that we set ourselves anyway.
"I'm burning to get Tottenham back into the top four and as far as we can in the Champions League.
"I'm three off 100 goals in the Premier League for Spurs and I want to reach that milestone. It's just always the way that the closer you get to a milestone like that, the harder it is to reach it.
"But there are 15 people who have already got a 100 or more [top-flight goals], headed by Jimmy Greaves. That serves as a huge incentive to keep at it."
