Jermain Defoe has compared the competition amongst forwards at Bournemouth to his time at Tottenham Hotspur.
The 34-year old will compete against the likes of Joshua King, Callum Wilson and Benik Afobe at the south-coast club this season.
But the England striker says the competition doesn't faze him and reminds him of his time at Tottenham, where he fought against Peter Crouch, Emanuel Adebayor, Darren Bent and Harry Kane.
Defoe said: "It's good competition here and that's what you want as a player.
"It's no different to Tottenham because there were always four top forwards who would go away with their national team and England.
"It keeps you on your toes and you know that you have to work hard to get that opportunity and when you get it you have to take it, it's as simple as that."
