Toronto FC have already had 92% of season ticket sales confirmed just a week after they became available.
The Canadian club unveiled new signings Jermain Defoe and Michael Bradley on Monday and the fans have reacted positively by snapping up the majority of season tickets ahead of the 2014 MLS season.
Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment spokesman Dave Haggith said that TFC were closing in on the sale of the full quota of 17,000 season tickets at BMO Field.
"This past week was that renewal period. As of today, our ticket office reported they were at 92 per cent sold for season seats," Haggith told the Toronto Star.
"The response this week has been incredible today the phone lines have been lighting up with people wanting to buy tickets with the arrival of both Jermain Defoe and Michael Bradley."
