Tottenham striker Jermain Defoe has welcomed talk of a swoop for Valencia ace Roberto Soldado.
Defoe has no problem with increased competition.
He said: "The prospect of more strikers being brought in doesn't bother me. In fact I would welcome one in because we needed one last season."
