Defoe already set to make Portsmouth history

Portsmouth striker Jermain Defoe is already set to write his name into the club's history books.

Defoe, 25, has scored in all four home games for Pompey since his £7million switch.

No player has ever struck in more than their first four league games at Fratton Park in the club's 110-year history.

Pompey legend Alan Biley set the record following his Everton arrival in the early 80s.

But Defoe will smash that record by scoring against Wigan when they visit on March 29.
