Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata is aiming for success in both the Champions League and Premier League as an all-important week looms ahead.

The Red Devils will host PSV Eindhoven in Europe's top club competition on Wednesday knowing that a win will secure their passage to the knockout stages. Following that they will have an opportunity to climb to the top of the league table when they travel to table-toppers Leicester City on the weekend.

"We could make an important step to finish first of our group in the Champions League, and we could climb to the top of the Premiership," Mata wrote in his own website, juanmata8.com.

"This is how we face this new week. We're feeling optimistic, as always, and our goal is to win both games and to have the best possible start to the busy period ahead… Obviously it's going to be tough, and we will need to be at our highest level to beat PSV and Leicester."
