Fulham have fined Clint Dempsey for failing to commit himself to the club.
The USA star was left out of Martin Jol's squad for this weekend's Premier League opener against Norwich City and has now been punished by the Cottagers for refusing to play.
Dempsey is wanted by Liverpool and although it remains to be seen where he will go, it is apparent that he will not be at Fulham after the August transfer window closes.
