Deco has rapped Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich for not giving Phil Scolari more time last season.

"Chelsea are a special club," he said. "If Big Phil was perhaps at Chelsea, Manchester United or Liverpool, they respect the coach and give him time to work.

"You look at (Arsenal boss Arsene) Wenger, who for five years hasn't won anything. (Liverpool boss Rafa) Benitez has never won the English championship. "Chelsea are different, a special club, who have a single owner and they are kind of his toy," slammed Deco.

"Sometimes Abramovich makes decisions that go over the head of the director of football. The exit of Big Phil was rash."
