Newcastle United captain Jamaal Lascelles has completed negotiating player bonuses for the squad.

The Sun says he has negotiated his Newcastle team-mates a £4million survival bonus from Mike Ashley.

That is on top of the £20m windfall Ashley has offered them for winning the FA Cup.

Toon skipper Lascelles spoke to the club's owner by phone to thrash out the bonus structure for this season.

But Newcastle's squad will also share a pot of £4m if they finish in 17th, and an extra £1m for every place above that.
