Italian agent Giovanni de Vito isn't surprised by fresh transfer talk for Atletico Madrid defender Sime Vrsaljko.
The 26 year-old signed a new contract with Atletico to 2022 just in February, but the Croatia international has again been linked with a move away since the end of the season.
Manchester United have made tentative enquiries, with Madrid media sources suggesting this week that Atletico would be willing to sell Vrsaljko - for the right price.
De Vito isn't surprised Jose Mourinho fancies signing the versatile defender, who is capable of playing anywhere across the back four. The Italian agent has close ties to Croatian football and knows Vrsaljko from his time in Italy with Genoa and Sassuolo.
"He can replace Darmian, he would be perfect for that position," declared De Vito, referring to United fullback Matteo Darmian. "There is a lack of a left and right back (at United), especially with his particular features."
De Vito also believes Vrsaljko can still play at another level beyond Atletico: "What matters is to find the right team for him."
