De Visser reveals Chelsea happy to work Brazilian transfer market

Chelsea chief scout Piet de Visser says they'll continue working the Brazilian transfer market.

De Visser, 79, still thinks importing Brazilians may also prove a shrewd move.

He explained: "When I'm in Brazil, I watch more than the World cup matches. I watch loads of games in one day. I go to the favelas, to small neighbourhoods to see the real gems. I found Oscar at the age of 15. This World Cup could be his big moment.

"I found David Luiz, playing in Brazil's Third Division. Everyone told me that he was not good enough, but I kept believing in him.

"It was via Benfica, but he finally did land at Chelsea. He is one of my favourite players. He will still get better.

"And it was in a similar way that I found Ramires."
