Piet de Visser is moving to Chelsea in an official capacity.

The Times says the Dutchman, previously an informal adviser to Roman Abramovich in the transfer market, has been taken on to work under Frank Arnesen, the chief scout and director of youth development, taking charge of the identification of young talent in South America and Africa.

De Visser's move to Chelsea comes after the breakdown of his relationship with PSV Eindhoven, where he was a consultant for several years, taking 22 players to the club, including the Brazilian trio of Romario, Ronaldo and Alex.
