Morgan De Sanctis is ready to step in for crocked Sevilla No1 Andre Palop.
The former Udinese goalkeeper has been forced to settle for a bench role since his summer arrival, but with Palop now out - possibly until March - De Sanctis is ready to take his place in coach Manolo Jimenez's line-up.
The Italian said: "The truth is that now is my chance due to the bad luck of a teammate, and this is not like me, but it is clear that we're coming to an important juncture, where the team is looking to win again with continuity.
"I have 200 games in the Serie A of the Italian League and I'm also an Italy international. I'm calm and ready to take this chance."
