Daniele de Rossi accepts Roma are in crisis after their 2-1 defeat last night to Champions League rivals FC Cluj.

He said: "This is a difficult moment in which nothing is going our way. We need a bit of luck, but many other things too. We hope this will just be a passing situation.

"We cannot afford any more mistakes, because we may be able to recover in Serie A, but the Champions League is a lot tougher."

Chelsea's 4-0 victory over Bordeaux has created a definite split in the group, as Roma now find themselves battling Cluj for second place.

"My teammates and I must focus on what is going on here. It is not a tragedy, but something is happening.

"It is not an easy situation at all. We must have faith, not be optimistic."
