Toronto FC has announced the signing of Canadian ace Dwayne De Rosario.
The 35-year old attacking midfielder returns to Ontario via the MLS Re-Entry Draft after spending the 2013 season with DC United.
"Dwayne's resume speaks for itself. The addition of an MLS veteran with regular season and MLS Cup MVP honours brings a significant piece to the team we are building here at Toronto FC," said TFC general manager Tim Bezbatchenko.
"Dwayne's impact will add considerable skill and depth to our squad and we look forward to having him serve as a mentor to our younger players.
"Dwayne has had a tremendous MLS and National Team career. He has very strong ties to the team and the city and it is only fitting that this is how his story should unfold."
De Rosario is back at BMO Field after scoring 27 goals in 57 outings between 2009 and 2011 which has him placed as the Canadian clubs all-time leading scorer.
