Canada star Dwayne De Rosario says everyone involved with their local soccer are proud of Norwich City striker Simeon Jackson.
Jackson is now aiming to score his first goal in the Premier League.
DC United star De Rosario said: "I'm real proud of him.
"A local guy having the opportunity to play in the Premiership, being a role model for kids wanting to get there and hopefully it opens up the door for a lot of guys wanting to get into the league. I know he'll do well, he has great talent and I wish him all the best."
