Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis admits victory over Villarreal in the Champions League was a landmark moment for the club.
The Partenopei had not played a home game in the top club competition for 21 years, but the atmosphere was astounding as they beat Villarreal 2-0.
"The music of the Champions League theme and the enthusiasm of the San Paolo crowd combined beautifully with splendid choreography and a stadium that returns to where it belongs, in the top level of Europe," the President told Radio Marte.
"It was a splendid tribute to the squad and a marvellous sight for the foreigners who were watching us all over the world. I was moved.
"Against Villarreal we saw what Walter Mazzarri has always asked for, as putting the opponent down with a super start is the way to go. Maybe a third goal would've been even better to rule out any hope of a comeback."
