Atletico Madrid midfielder Miguel de las Cuevas is delighted with his start to the season.
The 22 year-old has shaken off a nagging ankle injury suffered over the last two years to earn a place in coach Javier Aguirre's plans.
"There are lots of competitions, many matches and what I have to do is make the most of the minutes game by game. There are very important players in my position. I have to learn from them and wait for my opportunity. I know it is very difficult, but I must try," said De las Cuevas, who caught the eye in Atletico's victory over Recreativo on Saturday.
