Ivan de la Pena admits he gave up a fortune to sign with Espanyol.
"When you speak about the figures they (Spartak Moscow) were talking about, it is difficult to make a quick decision. But here I feel at home with my family and my children, and there are other things to consider, not only money," said the former Barcelona star.
"Many people told me I had to accept Spartak's offer, for my age and everything. But I talked to my wife and I think I made the right decision. I want to stay two more years and retire at Espanyol."
