Chivas USA announced today the signing of former Chivas USA U18 Team member Bryan de la Fuente of Bell, California, as a Home Grown Player.

De la Fuente, 18, has played in the Chivas USA Youth System for the past three years, and has experience with the United States Under-20 National Team and in the Chivas de Guadalajara youth teams.

De la Fuente becomes the fourth former Chivas USA youth player on the club's first team roster, joining local products Carlos Borja (Anaheim), Jorge Flores (Anaheim), and Cesar Zamora (Sylmar). Another former member of the Chivas USA youth system, Gerson Mayén (Los Angeles) is currently on loan at Miami FC.

"Bryan has been with the youth program for the last three years, and he's also been consistently with the U.S. U-20's playing for Thomas Rongen," said Head Coach Martín Vásquez. "We need to look at our youth program before we bring someone from outside. He's a player for the future of this team, but we're going to give him an opportunity, and help him develop in the short-term."

de la Fuente added: "I'm thrilled because this is a goal that I've had for a long time. I had hoped this would happen from my first day in the [Chivas USA] academy, and now that dream has come true."
