Nigel de Jong is impressed by young Manchester City teammate Karim Rekik.

Just 17, the former Feyenoord defender has already tasted first team football in friendly action for City.

"It's December, he's just 17 years of age, but I really thought he was 23 years old. He is already so big and strong," smiled De Jong.

"That is so important, I know myself how I was at that age.

"With Karim, he is bright and is always willing to listen."
