Manchester City midfielder Nigel de Jong admits it's a dream come true to be calling Patrick Vieira a teammate.
De Jong, away with Holland at the World Cup, says he grew up idolising Vieira when he captained Arsenal.
"He was the player, who at the time when I played against him with Ajax at Highbury, said I had a bright future ahead of me," De Jong revealed.
"That was a wonderful compliment to receive from one of the best midfielders in the world in that period.
"Patrick has a certain natural calm about him."
