Nigel de Jong says Manchester City's strikers must start taking their chances.
De Jong said City could not look elsewhere for excuses if their illustrious attacking line-up does not start finding the back of the net on a more regular basis.
"We only have ourselves to blame," he said. "The only flaw in a very good performance from the whole team against Bolton was that we didn't score more than one goal.
"If you don't score the goals to go with a good performance you can find yourselves in a really bad position, especially towards the end when, if there is a red card, the last few minutes can be tricky."
