Jonathan de Guzman is convinced new Swansea City boss Michael Laudrup will prove a success.

Laudrup has made former Villarreal midfielder De Guzman one of his first signings.

"Knowing him from Mallorca, he is a very good coach, he knows what he wants and hopefully he will bring his tactics here," said the Canadian.

"He likes 1-2 football and if you look at the likes of Spain that is the most effective way of playing right now.

"Swansea played very good football last season and we want that success again.

"When Michael became Swansea coach it become a no-brainer for me and I am happy to be here.

"Hopefully we can have another great season."
