Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea insists he doesn't feel his place is under threat from Victor Valdes. Former Barcelona keeper Valdes is training at Carrington as he recovers from major knee surgery.
"Yes, my contract expires in 2016, but they have not recruited him because of it," argued De Gea to AS.
"Victor had a severe injury, he has had a difficult time and the boss (Louis van Gaal) knows him well and has given him the opportunity to recover from this.
"Victor trains in Manchester, he is still not 100 percent over his injury. When he is completely healthy, he will train with us. He is yet to train with us in the first team."
