De Gea is 'out of order' if he has lost focus - Man Utd legend Scholes

Paul Scholes has spoken out about the David De Gea transfer saga at Manchester United.

Still the Spanish goalkeeper remains out of Louis van Gaal's starting XI after the Dutchman suggested he has lost his focus.

De Gea reportedly wants to move back to Spain by joining Real Madrid but United have stood strong thus far and forced him to stay at Old Trafford.

However, Scholes feels the 24-year-old should be focused to play for such a club as United who took a chance on him four years ago.

"How can you lose focus?" Scholes said on BT Sport on Wednesday night.

"That's the thing for me. He is getting paid by this club, it is a brilliant club.

"They paid a lot of money on a young keeper to give him this chance. If the manager is right and says he has lost focus then yeah, I think he is out of order.

"He should be in that team playing. If it wasn't for him last year, they probably wouldn't be in this position tonight so they have to thank him for that."
