Former Genoa coach Gigi de Canio believes Antonio Conte will survive the axe at Chelsea - for now.
De Canio expects Conte to remain in charge for the Champions League clash with Barcelona.
He told TMW: "Now for Chelsea there are the Champions League matches. The team has always shown to be part of the coach and will give appropriate answers, even if the commitment will have a high coefficient of difficulty I expect a reaction of character, that character that Conte has transferred to the team."
If Conte leaves, De Canio believes he will remain in club football.
He added: "I do not think he will be back in the national team, we will see him again in club teams."
